Come Cry with Me in Connecticut
Crying is cathartic when surrounded by the right people - join me for my film screening on July 10 in Hamden, CT
With each day that goes by, I learn more about the relationship between grief and joy.
They are lovers who dance too close together; hot, heavy and sweaty, ignoring the conventions around them. They tease at each others lips, spilling out onto the dance floor after only just arriving.
I’m left staring at them under florescent lights, wondering how they got together so quickly.

Greetings, not from the void but from another liminal space just as interesting
This entry is five days late and too disjointed for my liking. It’s not a perfect, carefully crafted entry, but I already hit send. I’m sticking to my committment of writing and growing, rather than letting perfection eat at me.
Not everything will be beautiful and shiny, and that’s alright.
My mind has been heavy these past few weeks: No Kings protests this past weekend. An inevitable war on the horizon. My Grandmother and her twin turn 80 this year.
As I write this, I’m preparing for my first session in The Forge Summer Writing Series. Joy amongst the grief. I feel honored to join such a space and to devote more time to my writing (and my organizing).
I’m not in the void, but I’m sending greetings from the liminal space of change in progress.

BE HERE NOW is a short film about an unemployed writer and activist with a fear of clowns, who comes home and is greeted by a clown version of themselves in their bedroom. The two of them — the physical embodiment of comedy and tragedy — talk hours about existence, resistance, and what it means to be human.
Content Note: Strong Themes suitable for folks over 15. Masks are required & will be provided. Can't wait to see you there. Share & come thru!
